Terms of Service

These terms govern all engagements with SBT20 Design Studio (“SBT20”, “we”), based in Johannesburg, South Africa. By commissioning work from us you accept these terms, unless a signed agreement between us says otherwise.

Proposals and quotes. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Work begins once the proposal is accepted in writing and any agreed deposit is paid. Anything not listed in the proposal is out of scope and quoted separately.

Payment. Unless agreed otherwise, projects are invoiced 50% on commencement and 50% on delivery. Invoices are payable within 30 days. We may pause work on overdue accounts.

Revisions. Each deliverable includes the number of revision rounds stated in the proposal. Additional rounds, or changes to the agreed brief, are quoted before we proceed.

Ownership. On full payment, you own the final delivered work. We retain ownership of working files, unused concepts and our underlying methods, and the right to show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Your materials. You warrant that content you supply (logos, photography, copy, data) does not infringe third-party rights. Licences for fonts, stock imagery and third-party tools are billed at cost unless included in the quote.

Timelines. Delivery dates assume timely feedback and materials from your side. Delays in approvals move delivery dates accordingly.

Liability. Our total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
